Sybil is a 7 year old Maltese. She likes going for walks, and has vastly improved her interaction with other dogs. If she's not sure of another dog she will ignore it or walk away from it. She is happy to be by herself for short periods but is just as happy sitting on someones lap. She will show you her outgoing personality once she gets to know you.

Sybil ihas now been rehomed with a retired lady who walks her every day and dotes on her – she is now called Cindy.

Hackett is an affectionate and playful 5 year old Miniature Poodle cross. He exhibits characteristic Poodle intelligence, has a reserved but affectionate personality and is house trained. He has a thick black woolly coat that needs only occasional grooming and does not shed. His earlier owners had him since he was 6 months old. They reluctantly decided to re-home Hacky as a result of a few nipping incidents with their 2 year old toddler. Hacky's reaction to the toddler was understandable from his perspective as the child was being rough with him but they also realise that he would be much happier in a quieter and child-free environment. The main issue for Hackett is that loud "clangy" noises tend to scare him and lead him to become withdrawn. Hackett (like all dogs!) responds really well to attention and affection and comes around very quickly.

In the end, Hackett was rehomed with a lady with a disability who has had difficult poodles before, and he now definitely seems to have found his special place.

Freddie: This scrumptious 4-5 yr old Shih Tzu/Maltese cross is simply a delight. His foster Mum cannot understand why he was sent to the pound for rehoming as he has no bad habits and is great company. He may be good looking now but will be a Prince Charming when his hair has grown back. He is more a ‘snuggle pot’ than a ‘cuddle pie’ and although he loves comfort and cushions he prefers to watch TV snuggled tightly into the chair beside you rather than on your lap. His amazingly gruff bark makes him sound like a much larger dog. He is gentle, sweet, obedient, a good walker, devoted to anyone who loves him and would prove an asset to any family but especially to one which is not too boisterous.

Freddie was recently rehomed with a retired couple who rescued a pound poodle at the same time. Both dogs are in seventh heaven!

Minnie is a gorgeous 5 year old silky terrier cross who melts your heart when she gazes at you with her big brown eyes. She is a very gentle, affectionate and smoochy girl. Although she loves cuddling and being with you, she is also happy to find a patch of sun to lie in. She is a calm, relaxed girl in the house but energetic when it comes to walking.

In the event, we found a great home for Minnie. She is living with a couple who adore her. She minds the house when they are out and otherwise gets to sit on their lap and help with the gardening.
